Edilportale announces the start of a new strategic phase in its development, selecting the Mondadori Group as its industrial partner and majority shareholder.
The decision follows a structured advisory process and represents a clear industrial choice: to complement more than twenty years of organic growth with the strength of a large listed group, a leader in Italy’s digital landscape, capable of supporting a long-term vision built on technology, data, scalability and the creation of sustainable economic value.
The partnership is based on a strong strategic alignment: strengthening investment in technology, content and industrial strategy to further evolve Edilportale and Archiproducts into data-driven, predictive and performance-oriented platforms. The ambition is to turn them into digital infrastructures that support market decision-making and generate measurable economic value for professionals, companies and brands.
“This partnership is a deliberate, carefully built choice, clearly oriented toward the future,” said Ferdinando Napoli, CEO and co-founder of Edilportale. “We share with Mondadori a long-term vision in which technology, data and artificial intelligence are decisive growth drivers. For us, this means accelerating the evolution of our products: increasingly intelligent platforms capable of delivering real value to the community of Architects and Designers, and measurable returns for companies investing in digital.”
“With this acquisition, which offers significant prospects for further development, we enter the Architecture and Design sector as a digital market leader, while also expanding our international footprint,” said Antonio Porro, CEO of the Mondadori Group. “The transaction also allows us to strengthen the positioning of the Group and of the newly established Mondadori Digital as Italy’s leading digital publisher, with leadership in the highest-potential vertical segments of the market—including food, wellness and lifestyle—and to simultaneously expand our offering into new products, services and innovative solutions.”
“Data is now the true engine of an advanced digital platform,” commented Vincenzo Maiorano, Chief Creative Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and co-founder of Edilportale. “Thanks to this partnership, we will be able to unlock even greater value from usage, behavior and project data, developing personalized experiences, intelligent content and increasingly precise measurement tools. Our goal is to provide professionals with tools that help them work better, and brands with a transparent, measurable and scalable growth channel.”
“The entry of a solid industrial partner with a clear vision for digital significantly strengthens Edilportale’s financial profile,” adds Antonella Fanigliuolo, Chief Financial Officer of Edilportale. “This deal boosts our ability to invest in technology and talent, and supports a growth roadmap focused on scalability, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.”
Edilportale will continue to operate with its own identity, with the founders Ferdinando Napoli, Vincenzo Maiorano, Marilde Longo, and Maurizio Alfieri, its team of 160 people across its Bari and Milan offices, and its strong culture of innovation—while accelerating technological development and reinforcing the integration of content, data, services and digital products.
Equita acted as the financial advisor for the transaction. Edilportale was also supported by Advant NCTM as legal advisor and by PwC for due diligence activities. Leo De Rosa, Alberto Russo, Paolo Crippa and Andrea De Panfilis (Studio Russo De Rosa) supported Edilportale in the corporate and tax structuring of the transaction.
