On the occasion of the Italian Design Day, Archiproducts and the Consulate General of Italy in New York presented “Origins – The Heritage of Italian Design”, a special event held during NYCxDesign. The evening brought together some of the most inspiring voices in the industry, including Gabriele Salvatori, Pasquale Junior Natuzzi, Eleonore Cavalli (Visionnaire Home Philosophy), Laura Anzani (Poliform), and architects Matthew Grzywinski and Michael Chen.
With the support of Consul General Fabrizio Di Michele, the presence of Roberto Palomba (Palomba Serafini) — testimonial of Italian Design Day 2025 — Gabriel Zangari, and Archiproducts Co-Founder and CCO Enzo Maiorano, the event became a vibrant moment of exchange. It celebrated the uniqueness and enduring strength of Made in Italy design and marked Archiproducts’ 25th anniversary.
Origins spotlighted the stories of Italian entrepreneurs whose family legacies have shaped and preserved the identity of Italian design. These narratives were woven together with insights from New York-based architectural studios that often choose Italian brands for their global projects, highlighting the deep, longstanding relationship between Italian design excellence and the American design community.
The United States, and New York in particular, has long embraced the values of Made in Italy, recognizing its unmatched combination of style, innovation, and craftsmanship. Italian design continues to be a key reference point in the American market, influencing high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
This event not only underscored this enduring connection but also explored how it can evolve in today’s dynamic, design-driven economy. Through personal narratives and shared values, it offered a global perspective on how Made in Italycontinues to be synonymous with excellence — and how it can thrive in the international market, with a special focus on its strong positioning in the U.S.
