Archiproducts presents a new e-commerce platform for furniture and design manufacturers and retailers. Launch event in streaming on October 9.
The lockdown profoundly changed the retail world, accelerating the digital transformation of the Furniture and Design sector. Consumer behavior also changed. In recent months, architects, designers, and enthusiasts have increasingly turned to the web to purchase furniture, accessories, finishes, and décor.
Data from the B2C Observatory at the Politecnico di Milano speak clearly. Among the emerging sectors, furniture and home living now look confidently to the future of e-commerce with an increase of 30% and an estimated turnover of 2.3 billion Euros. The Archiproducts e-commerce platform recorded an exponential growth in orders during the lockdown months, with the greatest number of requests coming from Italy (+68.5%), the USA (+45.1%), France (+47.2%), and Germany (+32.0%), and a peak of +900% orders in the Outdoor category in April. The numbers also continue to surge for the online shop, which already counts 20,000 customers and 30,000 orders completed in 65 countries worldwide.
Archiproducts created Daloom to support manufacturers and retailers in the digitalization of their sales processes. Daloom, a software born from two decades of experience and expertise in the field, offers clients the opportunity to open a virtual showroom complete with content, digital tools for product presentation, e-learning, and success management. This all-in-one resource helps businesses reach more qualified contacts, take advantage of omnichannel commerce opportunities, and increase the flow of customers to their physical stores.
Daloom is synchronized with the Archiproducts database so that it just takes a couple of clicks to activate a digital catalog and go online, optimizing start-up time and management costs. With over 250,000 immediately-available product sheets – already complete with prices, technical specifications, immersive images, 3D configurators, Augmented Reality, and BIM models – it will no longer be necessary to manually load or update products and price lists. The Archiproducts editorial team, a group of engineers, architects, and designers in direct contact with over 3,500 manufacturers, will take care of all of these details – and more – for Daloom clients.
“We created Daloom with the desire to put a perfect machine into the hands of retailers and companies,” explains Ferdinando Napoli, CEOand Co-Founder of Archiproducts, “but we are aware that however advanced technology may be, it is not enough. Technology must be supported by the right skills and strategies.'” That is why the platform includes an e-learning section created in collaboration with Furnichannel, an Italian company dedicated to the digital transformation of Furniture and Design companies. Clients can attend video courses, online workshops, and consult handbooks to obtain the necessary skills to emerge on the web with a successful strategy. And they can get the most from their e-store thanks to the support of experts in digital marketing and success management explicitly targeting the furnishings sector.
“The platform is designed to meet the market’s specific needs,” adds Enzo Maiorano, Co-Founder and Art Director of Archiproducts. “It is the solution for managing online sales through an effective and immediately-active e-commerce website whose specialist partner, Archiproducts, has been driving the digitalization of the sector for over twenty years.” The platform’s added value is the support and experience of an international company that was the first to talk about digital transformation in the world of Architecture and Furniture. Archiproducts wants to make the virtual increasingly real and bring it closer to the Design Industry’s needs. With Daloom.
Daloom will be presented officially on October 9 at Milano Design City, online and offline at Archiproducts Milano. The launch event is part of the Archiproducts NEXT program, the new initiative at via Tortona 31 that – for two weeks – will explore present and future scenarios in Design and Architecture.
